Hi everyone :)

So...I've been doing weights for 2 weeks now and I LOVE IT!!

I do my weights workout on MWF and I do cardio on Tuesday and on the weekend.

I do pole stuff (when the mood strikes) and that's fun.

I'm just hating my cardio right now. I need new music.

My cardio is usually:

- on a stationary bike or

- rowing machine

but mostly on the bike.

I just can't do it anymore, the 40-60 minutes feel like torture lately, I need new workout music.

When I have new music I'm so psyched to do it, but when I know all I have is crap I've listened to a million times, I just so don't want to do it at all.

Any suggestions?

Thanks :)

I find the Rocky soundtracks really get me motivated.

If not then most metal is good!

When I'm not working out, I listen to R&B/hip hop - I find that a lot of that stuff isn't really workout music. Some have awesome beat and can be, but for the most part - no.

So I do find dance music and some remixes and stuff for the workouts, but have been running dry lately.

Hmmm, Rocky and 80s music - got it!! ;)

Thanks for the suggestions :)

Check out 'The Fat of the Land' album by The Prodigy. Good workout music as well.

To be honest, I'm curious how metal music will work for me, since I'm not usually drawn to it, but hey!! it might become a workout fave...we'll see :bunny:

I don't always do cardio, but when I do, I prefer EDM, trance, and dubstep:

Music | Savoy

For lifting though, it's all metal, all the time.

I don't do music during weights yet - my bf coaches me and keeps me company for now, but I'll keep that in mind.

Thanks!! :)

I listen exclusively to house, trance and similar when i workout. Usually I go to soundcloud and get a nice high energy sounding mix

Or I download off YouTube and convert to mp3. There are a ton of different DJs on soundcloud with all sorts of mixes.

Thanks Imported. I just listened to some and downloaded the whole thing. I can see getting pumped up to that.

Tupac, Eminem, AC/DC, but mainly trance podcasts for example:

Above & Beyond

Trance in France

Sonny Deejay

Tiesto

Andy Moor

Paul Vinitski

And a ton of others, they all have from weekly to monthly free podcasts on itunes, usually an hour or two of music.

Except for Tupac, Eminem and AC/DC - I have absolutely no idea who the rest of the names are - so I'm looking forward to checking some things out. :)

Yes. This.

Maybe a mix of electro swing titles and some old school rock. Something that has a good flow, but which is not to fast and not to slow. For example: Parov Stelar and AC/DC

extended mixes of your fave songs anything with that deeply embedded drum beat.....you can push yoruself on them ...i am not up to safri duo ill get there....40 to 60 on rower or a mix of both stationary bike and rower?

sometimes when you listen to songs with words they throw you off i suggest not to listen to jizz in my pants.....worse song in history....what i liker abotu the particular safri duo song is it has rest periods in there and then speeds up ......you can catch that beat with your movements

spend some time finding some deep beats and not constant but with a few slow sections.....different speeds to give you variety........you have to change because it gets boring but its the lyrics that get to you not the beat...so find backing tracks of your fave songs.....or fave beats.....they last longer in regards to getting bored with them.....do you notice when a song comes on and you recognize pieces of the backing track like ice baby has bits of under pressure by queen i think...and that song instantly has a connection...you dont often get tired of a good beat......so try some heavy drum beats......surf music.....like wipe out......that sort of thing

wooooo hooo get groovin on that rower this beat rocks.....

shimmying to this is unbelievable look for the extended mix

a bit more modern Edited by todreaminblue

one song for the rower maybe

maybe trance music for the bike

if you go 2 min 24 secs there's a steady sound

yello extended mixes

Yello - The Race (12" Extended Mix) - YouTube

your taste is unique i dont know what type of music you like ...these are just some ideas i hope i gave something you might use.....deb

I second whoever suggested metal as good workout music. It's perfect -- aggressive, really gets you psyched.

I'd really recommend Rammstein. In case you don't know them, they're a German industrial metal with good tempo and beats. Great for cardio especially.

Eisbrecher's another good German industrial. Tanz Mit Mir (Dance With Me)

Sabaton is a great Swedish Power metal band (they sing in English, though their recent album has each song in

and Swedish.)

Both are great for both lifting and cardio

Presets and Metallica for cardio, Anathema for pilates :)
