Kristine Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 This guy I'm supposed to meet I've talked to a year ago and out of the blue heard from him again. He is flying in from a different state and said he would need to talk to his cousin about borrowing the car. I have attempted to contact him since setting a tentative date but no word on his end. Do I show up and face the possibility of being stood up or do I just assume it's not really set since he hasn't given the official word. I honestly don't know if he will, he e-mailed pictures of hiimself, he was very chatty prior to setting up the date and time, but after that not a word. Is it off, on, what?
Gattka405 Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 hes trying to get you to chase after him. when that doesnt work he'll keep coming;) back until he gets bored or you catch on
Author Kristine Posted December 2, 2012 Author Posted December 2, 2012 I don't really understand that, but I'm not chasing him because he's not my favorite date this week. I just really want to know if I should show up or let it go?
RachR Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 If I had a tentative date and the other person didn't respond at my contacts to confirm it, then no, I would not show up. 1
Cutiepie1976 Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Agree. If you tried to confirm, and heard nothing, then I wouldn't turn up. By the way, he sent you pictures...Have you sent him pictures? Before or after he went incommunicado?
NoMoreJerks Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 I wouldn't show up. You contacted him. He could've replied.
dasein Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Would call and leave a VM, wires get crossed, you never know with all these discounted carriers out there today. I get texts from weeks in the past sometimes and have had people get mad at me for not returning messages I never got on my phone. Then if he doesn't return the VM, don't go.
Eternal Sunshine Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 I would show up if it's not too far out of my way. And I would bring a book
MyPoutine Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 It's common curtesy to confirm a date beforehand, you said it wasn't confirmed yet. Perhaps he contacted other women he knew in the area and found someone else more interesting? Either way that's lame, don't go.
