Brendasheel Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 I joined a new workplace and it was really cool as I was concentrating upon my work and really was much involved into the same. Till the time the activity went live and a new department head joined where i had to lead. Now the problem started to crop and day in day out I was troubled not just by that new guy but by my own colleagues. I seeked help from my boss and though he was very sweet and did address concerns in general. But nothing seemed to work out, I complaint again and he made me understand, till the I bursted into tears and he calmed me. For next few days things were normal all around. I spoke to my friends and could sense some strange feeling, they were speaking that my boss apreciates a lot about my work style and way I had been handling things at my side with professionalism and good communication behaviour. Now when these things were discussed with me all my colleagues had a tease tone and looked strangely towards me. To this I took as a strange feeling-May be my boss is hitting on me? Though these are my instincts. Now when I went ot speak to my boss, I could see he gets excited looking at me and sounds polite and smiles and speaks really softly. He looks deep into my eyes and does not have smile when he looks into my eyes. And when we are in joint meetings, I felt he was staring at me. And during one group meetings where there was lot of hustle bustle, he heard what I said and gave me an answer when I did not even expect any such from anyone as none of my colleagues had heard what i said. And he had this soft smile on his face and looked at me. I dont know I am so confused as to what should I do.....
Pasttense Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 Tell us more about yourself. Is this your first job? How old are you?... You need to be more specific about these behaviors. You could well be mis-interpreting his behavior. So just act in a professional manner.
