Last week I started messaging this women from an online dating site. A couple of days ago I called her and after five minutes of chatting I suggested we should meet up for a drink. She said that was a good idea. However then she said that she was busy for the rest of the week and the weekend. She said she would need to check her dairy at work for next week and she would text me back.

Two days later she still has not texted back. Has she forgotten or was the "I will check my dairy" an excuse to get out of any potential date? Should I send her a text or call her again suggesting a date for a next week or should I just leave it?

I would call or text back. It could be any number if things...could even be that she misplaced your number. Just ask her if she checked her schedule and if she gives you the "I'm busy this weekend" and doesn't suggest an alternative, or say sorry. Move on

My rules...

people can easily forget. Given she said she was busy it could happen.

An easy text or email should suffice. As you said she didnt seem to blow you off she just said she was busy. Remember some of this busy stuff can be her dating others.

Just remember starting to date someone at this time can be really difficult. Starting next weekend people will have holiday parties and other events to go to with family/friends, as well as holiday travel plans. A relationship that starts now is too ealy to be included in these kind of events.

They always flake. Send one text.

Call her. Never leave date plans in a woman's court, esp not first date plans, no matter what they say. Good luck.

Thanks for all the replies. I have sent her a text suggesting we meet up next week. So I will see what happens.

In most cases she is never going to call you back or she will keep telling you she is busy.

She is likely talking to 5 different men with online dating, and just arranging dates with the one she likes the most.

After 5 days, you can send her a quick "remember me e-mail" but I think she is just using you as a Safety-Guy if her other choices don't pan out.

She just might be busy at work depending on her age and Beauty, but if she's hot, she will have literally hundreds of men e-mailing her, so get in line and wait your turn.
