Ok but you have no kids so that's all irrelevant

Yes, but my grandma also had my mom when she was almost the same age. And neither turned out to be bad parents. Actually, my grandma had six kids in 10 years and is an amazing person all around, as are all her kids. Know what I'm saying?

Back in the 30s 40s and 50s I don't think it was odd to get pregnant young obviously.. But I'm talking about nowadays when you actually have options.

 My grandma chose to have kids when she did. Her mother-in-law, who was obviously older than her, didn't have my grandpa until she was almost 40. LOL My family is pretty interesting, actually.

But yeah, ok, if you want to say that young parents are bad parents, ok. I don't feel like arguing all day. I've said my piece.

I personally don't care if the person I'm dating has kids, grandkids, zebras, whatever. As long as they meet my standards in what I'm looking for in a guy/girl.

I don't really care about arguing about your family that's irrelevant.. I don't want to date grandpas because I don't think that a man who is 40 with a grand child did a good job of raising his own kids and I don't want to have kids with someone who sucks at parenting

I was wondering, I know there are some of those that wont' date single parents, but what about single grand parents....under the age of 40? Would that be a turn off for you?

Would it raise an eyebrow considering that their kids seem to have fallen into the teenage pregnancy dilemma?

Perhaps but parents really cannot ultimately control what their children do. It may hint at impulsivity tendencies in the family though so I see what youre saying. Have you ever watched Gilmore Girls???

I know they won't be teen parents yes I will shove birth control pills down my kids throat if need be. SF, yes I've done all that and still am not pregnant and wasn't a teen mom.

It just does tend to question the sexual habits of the children, chances are they're getting knocked up in high school or early college aged.

Of course, maybe the entire family basis it's family tree on early marriages and having kids young, too.

When I went to this grocery store, saw this really cute cashier, most of the cashiers there are still in highschool, while some of the "senior" employees are probably between the ages of 18 to early 20's.

She started "showing" and as the holidays grew closer, I said to her, "So you ready for Christmas?"

And she smiles, and sighs and goes,"I just have to go shopping for the kids"

I kind of hesitated and asked her how many she had, and she said she had 2 kids...and of course she has one on the way.

I almost felt like asking, "Two kids?? How old are you?"

But I did not, but she was obviously not even barely legal drinking age. But that's how it is in these smaller communities, they tend to have a "get married to your high school sweetheart as soon as you graduate Highschool" mentality.
