Mark1 Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Hi all, I'm 24, and I'm on OKCupid, which is a dating site. I starting talking to a woman on there who is 40 years old. She has listed she is only looking for guys between the ages of 33-50. Knowing both our ages, im guessing she isn't looking for a relationship, so is she going to want to hook up?
ls32ssibm Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 I don't know, why are you meeting a 40 year old @ 24 anyway? Are you into cougars or just went with the first person you saw?

Could be... or she put that 33-50 age range there so horny milf-chasers won't spam her. My ex is 38 and just started online talk with an 18 year old. She only wants guys who are younger than 27. If a woman around 40 isn't looking for money ... err ... I meant stability, there's a good chance she will be fine with dating someone much younger than her. 1
2sunny Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 I like cougars. What do you like about them?
Author Mark1 Posted November 28, 2012 Author Posted November 28, 2012 What do you like about them? More mature, less games. More affectionate. Better in bed. 2
Failboy Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 It is true that women in their late 30s are the most horny on average. It's a biological thing. If a woman never gave birth, her body will produce hormones when the biological clock is on its last ticks. My ex is horny and wet beyond compare. It's insane. I am the type of guy who gets overlooked by most women, yet she wanted sex with me several times a day and I am not exaggerating. Always grabbing my penis while watching TV and what not. There is no chance in hell a 20-year-old would be all over me like that, ever.

Failboy Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 So should wait until the 2nd date, or if she "knows whats up" and wants it on the first. If she wants you, she will not walk away after the first date. Even if women are absolutely dtf, most of them still want to feel respected. For most women "feeling respected" translates as "not being pressured into sex too soon". So I'd suggest you keep it civilized and wait until the 2nd date, unless she initiates.
2sunny Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 More mature, less games. More affectionate. Better in bed. Freely give her the first three and if you're patient, kind and respectful you'll get the last one you listed. Older men come with baggage! And they don't "perform" too well either! The younger men don't tend to have so much "assigned meaning" - so they aren't yet ruined! :-) 1
MrCastle Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Nothing hotter than an OW/YM relationship. Nothing. I'm totally fine admitting I have a double standard. Older guys who go after significantly younger women are creeps. Older women who go after younger men are awesome 2
bac Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 So should wait until the 2nd date, or if she "knows whats up" and wants it on the first. Get ready for sex on the first date if you are kind of good-looking. You do not have to pay for dating with her. She will probably invite you to her place for a drink and a lot of sex.
Treasa Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 As a 37-year-old female, I'll have sex with any decent guy who's legal. I support myself financially, live a great life, have a lot of fun (and am really immature for my age), and I don't need a guy to be an emotional tampon for me. I really just want sex and maybe a bit of cuddling at this point. Or someone who will spar with me when I'm training martial arts or with my weapons. That'd be hot....and, damn, I lost my train of thought. 1

I want to say worst but people can't handle it and it'll be taken down.

GorillaTheater Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 MrCastle is just joking. There's no need to take it seriously. Agreed. I'm an older man who could take offense, but can't for two reasons: 1) I was crazy about older women as a young man, even though I wound up marrying a woman 2 years younger; and 2) If I were to find myself single, I'd be chasing women around my age, not the young stuff. Except maybe for Kiss-and-Make-Up.

If a woman around 40 isn't looking for money ... err ... I meant stability, there's a good chance she will be fine with dating someone much younger than her. Its ironic for all the hooplaha from women on here when there is a post on here about an older guy going out with a young women in her early 20s, I actually know more women STR/FWB'ng with guys >=12 yrs younger than them than I do guys who are able to do the same with young women. The older women I know and on here complain about all the young guys who msg them on OLD. It the same IRL for the women > 30 I know and I bet a lot go for it on the quite, for there to be this trend. Like someone recently posted about the young guys at his gym having older women (mid 30s up) booty calls, its the same at my gym (+ also with a few young guys at work). lol. It might be the solution for sundevil. Edited November 28, 2012 by ascendotum
rocketman122 Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 More mature, less games. More affectionate. Better in bed. sorry, but not from my experience. as person who's only ever dated older woman, and MANY, all were older than me (41) and usually a few good years older, I can tell you that quite a few of them were actually very boring in bed. I felt like I was teaching them.

reallyhotguy Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Why do you assume she doesn't want a relationship? Maybe she would be pissed to hear you say that.

It might be the solution for sundevil. I think in the US and to a lesser degree also in other (western) cultures trends can be heavily influenced by what beautiful celebrities do. Demi Moore getting with Ashton Kutcher, Jennifer Lopez getting with that dancer, Madonna having that other toyboy and so on. There's less of a social stigma against that type of relationship structure. To me personally, age is not important... when I like the person and find them attractive, I am happy to be with them regardless of age, as long as it is legal.
spiderowl Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Who decided to initiate this meeting - was it you or her? If you suggested it, why did you? What were you hoping to get out of it? Older women usually want relationships not hook-ups. If you want a hook-up, you should make it clear that's what you are interested in. No point messing with her feelings. She might think you are a really nice guy and would enjoy talking to you. I've chatted to young guys online and they've asked to meet. I've told them I'm to old for them and I'm not into young men and they say they'd like to be friends. When we meet, they tell me they are really interested in more - doh! I've given up meeting young guys for this reason. If I find them interesting to talk to, it doesn't mean I want sex with them. If I did and I got emotionally involved, *I* would be hurt. They would probably walk away, having tried the 'mature woman' thing, a notch on the bedpost and nothing more. Who needs to feel used like that?
