Learn to let go of bad or depressing emotions? How do you do it quickly?

Such as an affair/break-up/or anything such as this?

Usually if I need something quick I will call up my best friend and we will go out and do something that we always have fun doing....i.e go to bar..dancing ro something...but that is also temperary. I would like to see what others say cause I find myself in a rut too....but that is what I do if i need to get my mind off something for a night

My husband had mulitple affairs and a child with OW.... I don't want to end or marriage and he's proving (with actions) that things will change.

However, we both agree that I need help dealing with these issues and learning to let them go. I would love to have just one day go by where I don't think about these issues.... but I've known about them for about a month now... still - I need help getting over the past and looking forward to the future. Learn to build the trust again. Learn to let go, move on... all that jazz.

Please don't say... "time heals all wounds"... I know this one... I'm in search for a quicker fix....

"multiple" ...Are you sure he is going to treat you that way you deserve to be treated?

Maybe the way you are feeling is completely appropriate since he has done it more than once....

Maybe you both need to speak with a counceller?
