newmoon Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 my bf and i have been together about 1 year. we're comfy with each other and like being together and doing things together. marriage/engagement/living together are not in the future - we are both still learning about each other and working on ourselves. anyway... how do you move a relationship forward if marriage/engagement/living together is not actually the end goal? we've been exclusive since the start, but i feel at times like we're 'just dating' or 'friends with benefits'. the other day my bf said that he feels like i only want him around when i'm interested in sex. so, he obviously feels a disconnect/lack of intimacy too. i want us to continue to grow/evolve the relationship, or step it up to another level, but i don't know how to further intimacy. ideas, please?
SmileFace Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Why isn't marriage/engagement/living together are not in the future ? Do you mean you just don't know when does things will happen or do you not want it from him? Wouldn't that mean you both are just FWB - I can see where your BF is coming from.
