Girls.

 

First of all background info.

Im as shy as hell with girls, but told im good looking so I get approached alot and never have to initate anything.(in my 30's

and nevr asked a girl out on a date!)

Girl at work giving me signals over the last few months, and I finally plucked up the courage to say hi because

i really really like her.. problem is I think i spooked her and she looked but walked off. I kind of ambushed her a bit, felt like a

clutz because i think shes a shy girl. Since then I have pretty much avoided her, because well im really embarrased and once again shy as hell

but the eye contact happened again a couple of days ago (from a distance) and she did another random walk near where I sit..

 

Now she kind of walks by my desk (not withing hearing range) from time to time (its where the flirting happens) and i have been trying to bump into her but its a massive building but its really hard.

 

so if you were this girl, walked by my desk and you saw me holding up a sign with a massive "HI!" on it

would you

 

(a) Think it was weird?

(b) Think it was cool?

 

Im trying to break the ice here after ambushing her!

Sorry, I have to go with weird. She's at work, not in a nightclub; don't make it awkward and uncomfortable for her. Talk to her if it happens normally, but don't make big, strange gestures like holding up a sign.

id think it was cool but i'd be very confident. you two sound like you're very similar to eachother. she probably thinks its cool but is too shy to do anything about it

Normally I would agree but context here is important. She has made 'big gestures' towards me on a couple of occasions. I'm actually trying to make it less uncomfortable next time we bump into each other!
