If one is willing to listen to it and learn from it they can understand why they succeed or fail in a given romantic scenario. The gist of it is that there exist a market ranking of each persons value as a mate based on looks + achievements (which would reflect personality traits like intelligence, creativity and people skills). If one can understand the principles they lay out, it will be easier to understand the dating game and play it more effectively.
