I met someone at a conference and we ended up going out for dinner. we got along pretty well. in the end he didn't say anything about hanging out again so I texted him and said if you're ever in my city (about 30 mins away) give me a ring. he texted back with, "if you even want me to be, let me know."

does me want me to take the lead? i'm a little confused. he's a nice guy, [i'm sexually attracted to him. i know, not the best way to make any decisions but he piqued my interest.] should i wait for him to make or move or do i have to do it? he's a bit older (45) so i don't know if that's just how things work with older guys...

i think he wants to know if you're down to fu.ck or not, and if its a quick booty call he'd be down, but he probably has other options (might be married too) so hes not actively pursuing. If you really want to get laid, take him up on his offer and text him a time and a place

I agree with Ceran's take on this. That is exactly how I interpreted this too....

Thirded. By the time a man is 45 he knows how to ask a woman on a proper date. That is a great example of not how to ask a woman on a proper date.
