GirlontheLam Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 No idea what you look like but you sound a lot like cerridwen. I decided to partially break the anonymity. http://www.loveshack.org/forums/members/207225-girlonthelam/albums/865-pics/4650-i-bored-took-self-pic.jpg
Author MrCastle Posted November 17, 2012 Author Posted November 17, 2012 Where do we stand on this NY accent thing. Because I'm not seeing it. ...Or hearing it

Think she's also from Cali (might be wrong) so that could account for the similar speaking styles.

ThaWholigan Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Where do we stand on this NY accent thing. Because I'm not seeing it. ...Or hearing it It's not a strong one, but you sound at least like you're from the East Coast.
GirlontheLam Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Where do we stand on this NY accent thing. Because I'm not seeing it. ...Or hearing it I didn't hear it either. You don't have a Cali or southern accent. Something vaguely east coast. 1
Author MrCastle Posted November 17, 2012 Author Posted November 17, 2012 It's not a strong one, but you sound at least like you're from the East Coast. I don't know. I guess when you're in something you can't see it. I always hear people that I think have a strong NY accent and say "Haha, ****ing New Yorkers. Typical. Luckily I don't sound like that :)" But apparently I do
threebyfate Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Vocaroo wasn't working for me. But I used tinypic Video - TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video HostingI don't hear NY but you do sound like an Easterner. You also use a lot of vocal fry.

jennifer4 Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 I can easily see why women call you just to hear that lovely voice. 1
Ninjainpajamas Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 This was my non-rehearsal recording, I recorded a while ago before Mr. Castle put his voice on the net, and was going to persuade him into posting his voice on the forum...however I was slow and just got to it now, so there you have it anyway Vocaroo | Voice message Sorry ladies, no sexy or sultry tones or the sweet soothing of a British accent! 4
Author MrCastle Posted November 17, 2012 Author Posted November 17, 2012 I can easily see why women call you just to hear that lovely voice. Blushing. I'm doing it. 1

Love it. You sound like a bad boy type! Your voice doesn't go with your personality lol
threebyfate Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Huh? I'm just going to substitute that for "sexual energy"Vocal fry's used in singing and speech, when people drop their voices sometimes, into their lowest registry. I'm curious what your voice would sound like, if you were speaking to another man or a woman who you're not attracted to. The clip sounds like you're trying to seduce.

The only thing I may change if I was talking to a dude is the pause. I don't feel a need to pause if I'm talking to a man. In terms of the pitch and whatnot, that's how I sound.

todreaminblue Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 So I've been told on multiple occasions that I have a sexy voice. I've had a lot of girls call me at wee hours in the night just to hear my voice. I don't think voice alone can land you a date but it did make me think about it's place in attraction as a whole. Looking back, I don't think I've dated anyone with a voice I found annoying or too squeaky etc. Has anyone dated someone with a voice they didn't particularly care for or find attractive? It's something small but it's still funny how I can't think of one instance where I said "man she's hot but her voice is off putting". Or maybe attraction is such that it makes me appreciate her voice no matter what she sounds like? I don't know. I think this is more to do with women than men. Not sure how many men care about what a girl sounds like. It's funny because I'm an anti-phone guy and much prefer to text but my results on the phone are just spectacular. How can a voice be that much of a turn on for some women? It's just a voice So I guess the overall question is, how big of a role does voice play in attraction? Most of the guys i have dated voice is important to me there are certain types of inflections i dont like...its hard to describe but voices that have soft tones and are not hard or clipped they are the voices that turn my head.....deb

GirlontheLam Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 I've been told my voice sounds sexy over the phone, by more than a few women. At work....I have to call a support line every so often. The woman threw out all professionalism, and commented on how sexy I sounded talking to her. Like 2 months later....I had to call again. It was that same woman, and she remembered me instantly...saying "you're that guy with the sexy voice". I dont think it sounds as good in person, but on the phone it must be pretty good. Alright where is the recording.... 1
