Treble Clef Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 We broke up about a year and a half ago, and while it's been rough I've been doing well and am pretty satisfied with life. I rarely think of him except if he appears on facebook (he's blocked but we have lots of mutual friends, which is kind of annoying but oh well) Anyway he's got a number of my things, some of which have sentimental value: -my favourite stuffed toy when I was young -some of my books -other miscellaneous items -owes me quite a lot of money I sent an email a few months after the break asking for my stuff back but there was no answer. Decided not to push it then since I didn't want to seem too desperate. I could replace most of the things (except the stuffed toy...) and I doubt that he will or even can return me the money, but the whole thing just annoys me on principle. I could even get someone to deal with him so I don't need to interact with him, question is should I even bother trying?
MissBee Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 If you know he has no money and you can replace your stuff...it's been almost 2 years, I'd leave it alone. he may think you're being petty and just trying to find a way to reach out to him. I completely get the annoying factor but chances are when you contact him he won't calmly hand over the money and your stuff...but will ignore you again (which may make you feel seven more upset) OR get into an argument with you. It's not worth it IMO...you survived this long, let it go.
