Al Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 Tell me how you trust someone. Do you believe that when you are in a relationship with someone, that person automatically has your trust unless they do something to lose it or do you believe that trust has to be gained over time by that person? What about when your SO is with people that you don't trust? How do you keep your trust in your SO?
Pocky Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 You can't really teach someone how to trust. It's just something you have to tell yourself you're going to do and do it.
Taken_Angel Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 No I don't think you automatically "trust" someone. It all depends on YOU. If you've been hurt or taken advantage of in any form in your childhood or adulthood the chances are you'll have trust issues and also sometimes personal insecurities come into play here. If you're having trouble trusting your man/girl then ask yourself WHY? What are they doing to make you feel uncomfortable in their actions? Are you overly jealous? Do you show this in your words or actions? All these things matter and you have to find out why you feel the way you feel. If it's something inside (insecurities) that you'll need to work on by yourself, if it's their actions then you should comfront them about it gently. Exactly like above, NO ONE can teach another to trust!
