SER Posted November 14, 2012 Share Posted November 14, 2012 So I'm guessing my response to his e-mail made him feel that he could text me for another convenient reason. My alarm battery was dying at home (reminds me that I need to take him off the list) and they called to let him know that the battery needs to be changed. They also left me a message and my dad a message (he's on the list too). He sent me a text that said "The alarm company called to say that your alarm has a low battery, just thought you should know." He sent this about 10 hours after they called. I know he knows that I already know, so this is him trying to keep in contact. I'm not responding this time or any future time because it's obvious that he's just trying to get a trickle of contact for me for his own perceived benefit, even though it helps neither of us. The good thing though, is that rather than seeing his text and immediately thinking "I miss him I wish I could say more", it was more "ugh, please move on and let me move on". I think this is a good sign that I'm making some progress. I still won't move on very well from his family though, I can't stop thinking about them... especially as the holidays get closer.
