irc333 Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 I saw this profile, definately my type...into Sci-Fi, even listed nerdy TV shows that I enjoy, too...the same books But you guys are right...takes more than liking obscure movies and shows. she only but lived here a few months and is a piano teacher as a profession. Then I saw a paragraph that definitely made me ponder "You must love animals enough to at least be a vegetarian in order for me to date you, if you don't believe that animals were put on earth not for our own agendas, and cannot give up eating flesh, then I'm not the one for you." Then she blathers on about watching videos about animal slaugther houses, and maybe some of us would "understand" I love animals, I dont' hunt, but I won't give up having a steak for such a woman, but do you think she's way off the deep end in finding a MAN that won't eat meat? NOW.....I'm sure there are men out there who don't......but I am familiar with the city she JUST moved to.....she "AIN'T gonna find it!" (I said that with a southern accent, if you know what I meanin') lol The town right slap, dab, next to a major forest and hunting season is in FULL force now. So that's just to give you and idea So why do women put themselves in areas where they KNOW they won't find a man? Now, places like L.A. or NYC where are there probably TONS of animal rights activists. I'm just curious why place yourself in a city that doesn't have such a lifestyle. SHe mentioned she loves the quiet, country life of the city she moved into, but....she did literally kicked herself out of the singles market in that area. Kind of like in Green Acres where they Zsa Zsa Gabor had to give up the city life, and move all her fur coats to "Green Acres" lol But why move yourself to an area, and then only to have unmatching dating criteria?
mammasita Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Perhaps she's an activist and wants to put an end to hunting in that area? Just sayin 1
Author irc333 Posted November 14, 2012 Author Posted November 14, 2012 Perhaps she's an activist and wants to put an end to hunting in that area? Just sayin She'd be making way too many stops along roads, must be tons of trucks with cages in them (for the huntin' dawgs).
Balzac Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 I truly enjoyed reading your post. Who knows why she planted herself there? Witness protection can be awkward. Some poor guy will be turning into what she's seeking, keep your eyes and ears open, the story is too funny. People like her create a fuss. 1
mammasita Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 LOL @ Witness protection. Didn't even consider that one.
grkBoy Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 IRC333, you showed it in your post. You know the town better than she does. She doesn't know your small town is full of carnivores and she'll possibly not find her ideal vegan male there. However, I can't blame her for having beliefs, stating them, and standing by them. Her choices then are like always: Stay single until Mr Ideal comes alongDate a carnivore and deal with itMake her move to your town a temporary "stop" until she moves again to a more pro-vegan city in a few years. I would not do some stupid thing like emailing her to let her know "you'll never find such a guy here", because it'll only make you look childish and bitter, and just strengthen her to not budge on anything. For all we know, she might try long distance or something. In the end, her vegan requirement simply says she's not an ideal match for you. No sense asking/wondering why she can't be a match or how you could "change" her her into being a match. 1
sabre80 Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 I do not think I would be OLD if I was in witness protection.
Balzac Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Her dude! My comment regarded the female. Lost your sense of humor?
