PogoStick Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 How about all the girls who are "models"? I just saw a profile where the girl has a multi-sentence warning against stealing her profile pictures for personal gain, threatening legal action. She's maybe a 6.5 at best. And that brings me to every girl with an angry sounding warning at the end of her profile. That's an instant "no thanks" from me.
Keenly Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 How about, I don't every, EVERY single girl on a dating site does this. I am interested in her and her profile , I read through it , I find common interests. I ask questions about her trying to know more about her, I express my interest , make a nonchalant comment about how I think she is cute, including at least ten or eleven things that could easily make a conversation worth having, and I get one of three responses. The first is they act like you are some sort of creepy stalker for DARING to attempt to talk to them (on a dating site) , the second is they just read and ignore it, the third is they reply to a paragraph with one to two four word sentences like " yeah I work st.blah.blah blah, its pretty nice". Thus completely showing lack of effort to have any kind of.conversation at all. That actually really posses me off when I put myself out there only to get the "dont care" attitude. Anyone ?

How would you prefer to be rejected?
FitChick Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 3. The infamous face only pictures. Conventional wisdom states that those men and women are fat.
Keenly Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 How would you prefer to be rejected? You are misreading what I'm getting at. People don't understand conversation is a two way street. Would a woman that rejected me ask why I didn't respond after four days ? No, she is just horrible at communication .

It depends where you live, but usually younger girls on OLD sites tend to get too many messages to reply to everyone. When I was on OKCupid I would receive 70-80 messages a day and I'm very average looking, so imagine what it's like for the hotter girls. I found a lot of the guys messaging me really interesting, but after a while I was too overwhelmed and gave up on replying completely or went with a few lines only, because otherwise it would take me a few hours every day. It was a bit sad because in RL I'd never filter people out like this and would love getting to know most of them better. 1
edgygirl Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 My favorite is: "I like a woman who is independent" = I am a cheap and/or poor guy who will feel tricked if I have to support our family I am an independent woman, but on a gut level, I put them in my "no" list right away. So I guess these guys won't be getting what they are looking for, lol.
El Brujo Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 1. "Fun, fun, FUN!!!" What are you, a woman or a teenager??? 2. "Travel, travel, TRAVEL!!!" Translation: "as soon as SpaceX Corporation starts selling flights to Mars, I'm going there too, just to make you feel like you've been missing something!" But NEVER get into a debate with one of these dames, because you ain't gonna win. If you want a guy who travels all the time marry a damn airline pilot! 3. The photo of yourself in a mirror. Are you really such a social klutz that you can't ask someone else to take photos of you??? 4. The photo of you hanging around in some sleazy bar, two friends on your left arm and two more on your right, all at least half crocked. Oh wow, I'm so impressed that you can show your ex-bf's what a good time you're having without them! 5. Your cat, or your dog. Unfortunately, the creature probably looks more attractive than the owner, and will not argue with you, rob you, or interrupt you while you're eating. 6. "No this, no that, must not X, must not Y..." Translation: "ahhh the heck with this, I'm buying a dildo."
FitChick Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 I interpret "independent" as not wanting someone who is clingy who will have no life outside of him.
NGC1300 Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 People who stress friends and family are "very important" or "everything". If they're really "everything", you in fact have no life.
edgygirl Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 A few mean it like that. Others in reference to the woman not expecting to get anything from them. Depends on the context and where they say it in the profile. I interpret "independent" as not wanting someone who is clingy who will have no life outside of him.
