youngskywalker Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Alright so the girl I'm dating is really close to her mom. We have been long distance and haven't spent much time together lately. We are back together now and I notice that she talks to her mom on the phone like 4 times a day, at least. That doesn't include text messages. Her mom is normal and not controlling or anything like that. It just makes me wonder if this could be an issue in the future. Any advice?
Ami1uwant Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Need more info..... How much of an age difference is there? How old are they? Are they in the same town or are they apart? what kind of conversations are these? I think 4 times a day sounds a tad too much. If they are now apart then there is separation anxiety.
Author youngskywalker Posted November 12, 2012 Author Posted November 12, 2012 They live about 4 hours apart. Maybe they see each other once a month. Sometimes more. G/F is 27 and mother is 50 or so. They have been apart for several years. I've just heard that people have had problems with this. But if the mother isn't controlling then I don't see any concern. Maybe even the mother helps keep the daughter in line.
