NGC1300 Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Everyone says you shouldn't rely on a man/woman for happiness, and that you have to be happy by yourself first. I don't necessarily dispute that, but can your really deny that being in a healthy relationship doesn't GREATLY enhance your happiness? Also, for me friends and family just aren't enough. Is it wrong that without a woman in my life I feel empty?
Phoebe Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 You do have to be happy with yourself first. Yes being in a good relationship can greatly enhance your happiness but being in a bad relationship can leave you feeling lonelier then you ever did single. 1

I just got out of a 'bad' relationship (girl just turned 19, is rather immature, and couldn't give me the LEAST bit of commitment). I was always stressed, wondering where she was, stalking her Facebook/Twitter page, it was just SO unhealthy. I was more depressed with her than I was single. Now I'm single, and stupid psychology makes me miss her, but I do realize that I'm better off without her, even if she is screwing another guy. (Well, he gets my crumbs haha. Even though I saw my ex recently and she looks hot as hell). But yeah, definitely find a hobby. Watch Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Hang out with friends. And STAY OFF THE BOTTLE!
