I go to college out of state and i am a sophomore in college well this year i have gotten really close to this girl and been dating her and its been very very serious. Well she is black and i am white and i haven't told my parents or even told any of my family about it. But with thanksgiving coming up my dad sent me a plane ticket to come back home and my girlfriend wants to come with me and meet my family. But i am just totally unsure about it all. I mean i want her to come home for thanksgiving but just unsure! We are getting very very serious even been discussing Marriage. What should i do? Advice?

Have you mentioned to your family that you have a girlfriend yet? You should definitely start there. It sounds like you're unsure how your family will react. Well if you haven't told them anything, yeah!

Also, it's the 21st century man. We have a black president. Interacial dating is not nearly as taboo as it used to be. And thirdly, it shouldn't matter that you're white and she's black. So what? Love doesn't see colors, right?

Meanwhile, dude, you're in college, why are you discussing marriage? OMG, you still have the rest of your life in front of you. If you want to date her the rest of your time in College, totally, go for it. Wait till you've graduated and are out in the "real world" as they say before you take on getting married. Things definitely change when you have a regular job and serious bills to pay, so you should get to know what each other is like away from college, an environment that seriously shelters you from the rest of the world.
