When someone can't believe you are capable of something....

Just curious to see what others think about this. I'm not even mad about it. I just thought this was really weird.

 

There is this rude woman I don't get along with very well; I get the impression that she just expects the worst out of me. She is a vegetarian. Anyway, today at lunch the topic of who else is a vegetarian came up. There were four of us: me, her, this guy, and this nice woman I get along with. The nice person told her "oh yeah SpiralOut is a vegetarian too." The rude woman could not believe it. "No, SpiralOut is not a vegatrian!!" she said.

 

Umm. I'm pretty sure that the nice woman, who talks to me WAY MORE than you do, knows what she is talking about so why are you trying to tell her she is wrong? Lol. Practically everyone else knows that I am; this isn't exactly shocking news. Second of all, why is that so hard to believe? I was sitting right there, so she looked at me and asked me is that true? I said yeah. She was like really? you are?

 

She must have asked me 3 or 4 times! Okay, why is that such a difficult thing to beleive? Why would you assume otherwise about me when we never speak to each other and you don't know me at all? Do you think so little of me that you think I cannot possibly aspire to being anything remotely like you? Is that what's going through her head?

 

Lol anyway that was weird. Has anyone else had something like that happen? Do you think I'm imagining things?
