Ginaa Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 How do you get over someone as the dumper although you know its the right thing to do...
SER Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 Just keep reminding yourself of all of the reasons that you made that choice. When you remember the good times and miss them, counter it with the bad times and why it wasn't working/what made you feel bad about the relationship. It's the only way that I keep myself from regressing or from having unrealistic hopes. I'm not over it, but I'm doing my best to try to move on and I've found that this has helped greatly. Just don't lose sight of why you did it and how you're better off. It's not easy to do this, but it does help. 1
River Rain Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 If it's the right thing to do, then you have no reason to feel guilty over it. But whether you're the dumper or the dumpee, there is always a sense of loss and sadness, just don't associate it with guilt or pity, or else you risk having regret despite the solid reasons why you needed to end things. 1
