fallndivide Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 So, a month or so ago my boyfriend told me that he had slept with one of his best friends once about a year ago. They are still friends and text each other and all of that. He says he regrets doing it and wishes it had never happened. The other day I found out that he text her "Hey beautiful" and told her that he misses her. Should I be concerned? For some reason I don't feel like calling your female friends beautiful is appropriate when you're in a committed relationship. Am I wrong? #totallyconfused

Go with your gut.

Yeah, he's just being honest Do you have proof that he's poking her? Nope. Should you be concerned? Nope. Besides, there's no shame in losing to better competition.

It's not all so literal, so black and white. Yes, he may very well miss her and think she is beautiful, but its not appropriate to say to anyone other than a daughter or significant other when in a committed relationship.
