How many of you have fallen in love fast and hard? What happened? This is just a general question and all statements and opinions are welcome.

People are generally in love with the illusion of what they think the other person is, if they haven't known them long enough to find out the reality.

I've always fallen into infatuation very fast and then after a few months (like Fitchick says) or unfortunately a few years, you really realize who they are and say... yeah, never mind!!

Right now, I've been with my boyfriend for four months. We are long distance but see each other every month. We communicate great and talk constantly and I'm able to get to know him without the ease of just having him there and getting "comfortable". In a way, I'm glad we're LD's right now, because you really get to know who the person is and how much effort they and you are willing to put forward. We spend the holidays together and will be together for 2+ weeks in December. I'm not 'in love' yet, but on the lines of falling in love, I've found him the easiest to start falling in love with. Everything is so natural and although I have my insecurities from previous relationships, he's always proven to me that he's different and I'm starting to believe it.

I know it might sound crazy but I have a gut feeling... but I am enjoying just taking our time right now. If it was meant to be, it will happen. I don't need to fall in love fast or slow, it'll just come when it's right.
