My boyfriend Rob is going away to Arkansas for a month and I want to plan something special for him. His birthday is during the time he's away. However, I don't know what I should do because I already have ideas. Here's a few I came up with:

a) taking him to a Yankees game the week after he comes back and a quick nitecap at a resturant around the Stadium.

b) dinner and a stroll around Central Park just like our first date... this time, add in a carriage ride.

c) a sunset cruise around Manhattan

d) small dinner and a drive along the Hudson River. They have a lot of breathtaking rest stops along the Hudson. Perfect sunset view.

e) booking a hotel room for the nite in the city and have dinner in our room, not to mention a "DND" sign for most of the evening.

f) small dinner in Chinatown or Little Italy, followed by a stroll on the Brooklyn Bridge with a snack at Junior's (popular for their cheesecake).

g) if he lets me do this... cook him dinner at his place and watch the Yankees-Red Sox game and surprisingly stays over for the nite. (I never been to his place because of the distance)

I would so appricate a repsonse to this. If any of you have a good idea, feel free to give that to me.

I say "e" or "g". You can go wrong with making it a romantic evening. Give him a bubble bath and warm oil rubdown and of course Sex is ALWAYS a winner. LOL. I love being pampered romantically I think he should too. Its a nice change of pace. We guys usually make the plans for the evenings entertainment. If you want to do something special when he returns- a surprise b-day party is always a rememberable event. He's so lucky to have someone who cares enough to make his leaving & birthday a special event. Have fun!

My post should have read: You "can't" go wrong with making it a romantic evening.

But I think you knew what I was gettin' at. And Dinner? Like I said, as long as YOU'RE the dessert, peanut butter and jelly would be fine! LOL!

A, E, or G .....those sound the best to me. Just remember, romance is the key word here.
