I'll keep it short. When I first met my ex, she was dating someone else and lied about it. I found out about it on my own and told her it was best if we just parted ways.

Seven weeks later we 'reunited' - this time she was single, she apologized for the lies and we got together.

We broke up a year later. Too many things going on and our relationship wasn't the healthiest. Mostly because I always had a tough time trusting her based on our past.

We've been friends ever since but I've always had feelings for her. Again, I just found out she was dating a cop. Again, she lied about being single. She says because she didn't want for me to stop talking to her.

I told her that I never wanted to hear from her again. She apologized and pretty much said I was going to regret it, whatever that means.

I can't stop thinking, going back to our time together and try to figure out what other lies she told me. It's a constant thing. It doesn't affect me much, it's over and done with, but I can't help to feel curious about what was truth and what was a lie in our relationship.

How can I stop this? Or to those who've been through something similar, when will it stop?

Thanks

hey MEEJ.

It`ll stop when you allow it too. You seem like a switched on guy? You Didn`t put up with her s**t or lies?

The past is the past. you cant change it, you can`t relive it.

Why are you being friends with her?

Just go NC -- block her number from texting/calling and set up an email filter to block her email addy.

Then just keep working on improving yourself -- mentally, emotionally, physically -- and keep moving forward.

It might take some time, but that's how you're going to get it to stop. What you've been doing is just prolonging the healing and making things worse.

Good luck.
