Girls with boyfriends: would you ignore another guy who had a crush on you and not say you had a boyfriend?

I would like to know if any girls out there who are in a relationship ignored another guy that they know had a crush on them and not tell them that they were seeing someone? Why would you not just tell the guy who has the crush that you are seeing someone?

This is a strange question.

If I'm ignoring they guy, isn't that enough? And yes, if possible, I'd rather just ignore the guy since I want nothing to do with him. I would tell him I was in a relationship if he asked me out or made it clear he liked me.

You are assuming the girl knows you have a crush on her.

Well I find the situation very strange. Since I was being ignored I assumed that I had done something to offend her, but didnt really know what I could have done. Then I found out through a third person that she had a boyfriend. She has spoken to me a couple of times, but not the everyday chats we used to have. Would it not be fair to tell someone you have a bf so they know they havent done anything to upset you, and they can find someone else to spend time with? Now it seems that she doesnt want to tell me for some sort of strange motives. I've known her for a few years now, and I never would have pictured her as the deceitful type.

I don't see how she's being deceitful. An unavailable woman has no use for a man who has a crush on her. I respect that she's keeping her distance instead of using you for attention. Sounds like she's mature and committed to her BF.
