Girls with boyfriends: would you ignore another guy who had a crush on you and not say you had a boyfriend?

I would like to know if any girls out there who are in a relationship ignored another guy that they know had a crush on them and not tell them that they were seeing someone? Why would you not just tell the guy who has the crush that you are seeing someone?

They love the attention.

However, most of them have no problem divulging they have a boyfriend and then going on to cheat, because the guy won't care either.

In my experience the girl (if interested) holds off as long as she can about telling me she has a bf and once she tells me she has one, he's never mentioned again and we proceed as we were.

If the girl is not interested she'll bring up the dude as often as possible so you get the hint. They make it pretty obvious they're not into you. I'll say "Wow, beautiful weather today" and she'll say "Yeah, the sky is so blue. Actually it's the same color blue my boyfriend wore today". I mean just ridiculous ways to mention they have a man.

Why do girls who are in relationships hide it? I think some of them are aware of what happens when a guy knows you're taken. The treatment you receive changes.

The same reason why in strip clubs every single girl who works there is "single" when in reality 99% of them are in relationships. Because guys aren't gonna buy lap dances if they know you have a man.

Guys are not going to treat women the same when they know no matter what they do it won't lead to anything.

So if I dont give her any attention she would want to talk to me again?

So there is a chance she might be interested (however small)?

The thing is that she actually never told me she had a bf. I found out through a third person. When she started ignoring me I just assumed I did something to upset her because we talked everyday. I did send her an email though, asking if she was ok. She says shes ok, and asked me not to be mad if she doesnt respond to my emails/calls. There wasnt any mention of her being in a relationship. So thats what got me suspicious and I ended up finding out from one of her girl friends.

I'm in a relationship. A guy had a crush on me and was texting me. He was told right off the bat that I was with someone and happy, but he kept texting/persisting anyway. He wrote "When can I see you?" and "Hi beautiful" and whatnot. I ignored most of his texts, but he texted anyway.

I was a terrible girlfriend at first; both my partner and I were not experienced in relationships. I made mistakes.

When I went out clubbing with my partner, after about 7 months plus together, guys would ask for my number.

Sadly, I gave my number to them Even though I had absolutely no intention of cheating on my partner. I would never cheat, and I was very much into my partner.

I just did not know what to say really, and felt stupid sayin "sorry, I have a boyfriend".. I mean, that could sound full of myself! The dude may not be that into me, and could be getting my number as a booty call, and think I am an idiot for assuming I need to even mention I am taken!

I try to avoid the awkward "can I have your number" conversation, by not getting too engaged with men, unless they are into travel or adventure sports and hobbies that he looks willing to share with both my boyfriend AND I...................

Basically, I have gotten a number or two in the hope that my boyfriend would become mates with them; we are both very much into meeting new people after all!

For instance: I got the number of a dude who loves riding motor bikes; as does my boyfriend, who is also an avid rider. I mentioned my boyfriend was a keen rider and that we should all go for a ride together sometime if he was free.

And I messed up early on in my current reltaionship in another way, too, I ADDITION to giving out my number to a few guys who asked me.

The guy before my partner, who I had a fling with, got interested in me again; and sent graphic, sexual texts to me via facebook.

I liked the attention, and gladly continued talking with him.

...My boyfriend found a phone text from him once, and also a facebook sexual message from him. He was quiet hurt, even though it was very early days with us.

It was too early on to know if I was 100% going to stay with my partner; but I liked my partner enough to NEVER consider actually cheating! It was just dirty talk (which is no longer acceptable from me, as I love my partner and would not like him to do the same to me!)

He also asked to hang out with me in person, which I agreed to twice, but it was obvious it would not work out that way....

I have learnt from my mistakes, and treat my bf very well now.
