What type of music have you been listening to post break up? At first I tried to listen to some upbeat stuff but couldn't relate. I started listening to more songs about break ups, sad songs sort of. I know it's probably bad, but I'm supposed to "feel it" right? Then I started listening to some more angry songs.. Eminem-Puke is a good angry song!

 

Also, I recommend watching this video, it puts into words the feelings of a lot of break ups. "Gnarles Barkley-Who's gonna save my soul?" The guy rips his heart out, etc..

It sounds calm, though. Maybe I will try that and I will stop thinking so much.

Lots of John Mayer helps too.. Dreaming with a broken heart, slow dancing in a burning room, atmosphere.

 

For whatever reason it helps me to feel connected with music right now, not dwelling though. Anyone else have good songs to listen to?!
