winter23 Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 why is it that now that I dont initiate talk with my ex, or call my ex, or emial him..........he wants to start talking and IMing me.........when we were together he didnt care about me.......he acted like it was a burdern to call or email me buit now that I have broken up with him, 2 weeks ago and I have not attempted to talk to him, he talks to me? I guess its because of the whole "no contact rule" ? dont know but its working.........i cant believe it. my friend said that once i ended things with this jerk, which was hard..........he would slowly try to crawl back.........well, I was strong and kept thinsg impersonal. Anyway.........the less available you are, the more the ex will wonder what you are up to etc. when he did talk to me....he told me about a sports injury he got over the weekend, yeah right, he wanted some sympathy! Like I will fall for that...........jerk.

Nice to know he cares on some level, but it isn't caring about you and how you're feel ultimately. He's still fixated on how he's feeling and what he wants / needs. It may be possible for him to mature through this rejection and come back to you improved -- if he's young and foolish. But, I certainly wouldn't take him back right away -- if ever. Wait for him to grow and prove to you that he's ready. -- uriel
