So I was watching the new It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and it happened to a character in it (plot and outcome irrelevant :D).

Got me to thinkin', every girl I've been "interested in" I've sized up on OLD or Facebook, or wasn't initially attracted to in real life until after she initiated contact or something like that.

Has anybody ever first seen somebody, and been completely speechless? How did it turn out?

I've definitely been instantly "lust struck"... always with a good outcome... :) As for lovestruck... with my last major relationship before my husband, I saw him outside my apartment building when I was going to view my soon-to-be apartment... had an instant crush and we ended up being together for 12 years

never....don't really believe in love at first sight....i have had a few guys make me take a second look, something about the tone of their voice or a smile or something they say and the way they say it and rarely does any feelings from my side develop from this, but when they do i look deeper, i have had the most significant relationships of my life when this has happened they have all been pivotal in regards to affecting me they were all in reality, and not off a dating site or anything like that....they have all been my friends from that initial first meeting....i feel and this is my spirituality coming through, that god puts certain people in my way when i need to have that person there or maybe so i can make a difference to their life, that he guides who meets me because otherwise i dont pick up on nuances in voices, inflections that capture some part of me....its not love but it hits my heart and I want to get to know them......i may be fruity......but that thought centers me........deb

no wonder you think i'm cute. I've been told i look like natalie portman. Anyway.

I believe in auras. Therefor i believe upon meeting someone in real life there is much more informatio being exchanged then simply visual information. Our realization and acceptance of auras no longer serves us. So most people don't even realize they exist.

It has happened (not love) to me in several instances where i was drawn to people for no physical reasons. And upon talking to that person realized we were in fact kindred spirits.

And once i fell in love at first sight. It was obvious to everyone who witnessed it. And though we didn't get together till years later, we were madly and life alteringly in love.

she's tiny and adorable like me. But i don't have her harvard degrees. I know auras are a scientific fact but some people get uncomfortable with those things. I find it comforting.

When you meet someone your aura mixes with theirs. You can determine, subconsciously, their general mood, disposition, even potential for passion. When my aura has been seen its often gold or white. Though i'm sure it changes.

Babies and animals are very are responsive to me. They have not forgotten the ability to read auras. They are sensitive.

Twice. Both times I said to myself, I will marry that man. One I ended up having a year long LDR with. The distance and age difference was too great. The other I dated off and on for about 6 years. It was the worst relationship I've ever had (or can imagine).

If I felt love struck now, I'd probably avoid the guy, though honestly I'm not sure I can even feel it anymore.

I was never able to attach to any girl, it was like I was incapable of falling in love. Got talking to a girl I met online who didn't live very far from me, agreed to meet up with her and felt incredibly nervous for some reason just before, as soon as I met her I was drawn to her for some unknown reason, so I guess I was lovestruck. We ended up going out less then a week later, but the relationship only lasted 2 and a half months because she left me for someone else.

I agree it should be infatuation at first sight coz' genuine love takes time to develop.

But mine was major attack...

The first time i met my bf, i was like wtf! My heart dropped... he is exactly my type! He kinda resembles my first bf.*I guess i patterned my type/taste with my first true love.*

We had to do LDR for a month but gosh, his thoughts drove me mad 24/7! Could barely eat, sleep..just looking forward to be with him. I was never like that.

I cannot understand what was happening to me that i had to google it...

Now, a year and a half later, way past the infatuation stage..the intensity just keeps on growing. I still love staring at his face/body when he's asleep. The only difference is, now i look at him with added tenderness in my eyes.:)

I have been infatuated at first sight once. Didn't work out though. In the movies, it goes both ways
