Carenth Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 (edited) So today I was doing some shopping at my old work (used to work in retail while I was studying). I haven't been there in almost a year since I changed jobs. Anyway I was talking to a old colleague of mine lets call him Steve, just catching up with how things are going and what not. Then out of nowhere I'm grabbed from behind, scared the **** out of me. It was another ex-colleague we will call her Anna. Now I was pretty flustered I'm not used to random people sneaking up behind me and hugging me. I was quite confused as to why Anna was there because we both quit that job around the same time to move to new jobs/careers. Her new job didn't work out so she is back working there apparently. Anyway there is a bit of history behind us in that Anna had asked me out after I quit that job and I had turned her down, she is a nice person just I don't feel that way about her. She hadn't talked to me since I told her I saw her as a friend and I would be happy to meet with her as a friend if she was ok with that. So she saiz Hi and other pointless small talk and then point blank asks me "So do you have a girlfriend yet?" in a joking manner and I replied "Yeah I do actually" she immediately turned very serious and started interrogating me who is she? what is her name? what does she do? how old is she? is she tall or short? blonde or brunette? how long have you known her? how long have you guys been going out? firing off questions in rapid fire. I was feeling quite uncomfortable by this point and was been pretty evasive about the subject because I don't really want her knowing about who my girlfriend is. She eventually stopped and said "I'll stop torturing you now" anyway Steve had been watching this and had a very wtf look on his face. I went to pay for my things and then said "well it was nice seeing you both, I'll catch you guys later" went to leave and she hugged me again and said "you still owe me a date by the way..." I literally just went "uuuuhh...." (because she knows I see her as a friend) then she said "but you are taken man now, such a shame, say hi to your girlfriend for me ask if it's ok if you can go on a date with me, sharing is caring after all.." I was pretty.. stunned at this point and just "ok, bye" and did a bee line the **** out of there as quickly as I could. I don't really know why I'm posting this just feeling a bit flustered and embarrassed I guess. I know I won't be going back there in a hurry. Edited November 3, 2012 by Carenth
