Divasu Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Well, I did it. And it paid off! He said sure thing. a teeny part of me feels like he just said yes to be nice. But then I snap out of it and think, who does that? Way to go! My services are no longer needed here, you have done well Young Jedi. Be well.
Author jefermelesyeux Posted November 6, 2012 Author Posted November 6, 2012 Way to go! My services are no longer needed here, you have done well Young Jedi. Be well. thank you!!! i'm waiting to hear back about whether he's free on saturday, so things are headed in the right direction.
River Rain Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 i don't know how you survive in this world today without a cell phone. unless you're elderly, you have no excuse. and even then, the older generation is starting to use cell phones! yeah, i can imagine it still sucks. but when one door closes, another opens, and this particular one opened up to newer guy. we're very similar in that we both joined loveshack in times of heartache...you obviously on a more dire level than me, but still. so far i haven't had any encounters with any trolls or bitter asshats, but i'm sure i'll enjoy it when i do. haha I prefer not to use my cell phone actually..I only have it on when I'm in the car in case of an emergency! But, I'm old school and you know I'm a texting hater, lol. Listen to this...okay, so I told Newer Guy about an hour ago goodnight, I'm logging off...just you know because I wanted to say goodnight. In the meanwhile, I got an email saying I received a message, so I logged back on and it was from another guy, it was a funny message, so I looked up his profile out of curiosity and wrote him back, then logged off again. So just now, I got an email, new message from Newer Guy, it said "thought you were going to bed"...wow. So is he stalking me, lol?? I mean, geez, I just met him yesterday. Anyway, it's a wee bit of a turnoff. I didn't answer, not sure what to say at this point! Wondering what that was all about.
Divasu Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 thank you!!! i'm waiting to hear back about whether he's free on saturday, so things are headed in the right direction. Very cool. You could be like this couple in the video (except two guys of course). Or, have a shaggy. Whichever. If not, it will be with someone else.

Wondering what that was all about. oh no, i hope i didn't offend! i just can't imagine what it'd be like to not have a cell phone. in fact, i didn't even have texting until i was a sophomore in high school. that was 2007-2008, so in 4-5 years' time i've become so addicted that i can't even remember what it was like prior to. hahaha yeah, that is a bit weird. the same thing happened to me once. i told a guy i was talking to on the phone that i was going to bed (i really wasn't, but i just wanted to get off the phone...it's very inhibiting). so i logged onto aol instant messenger...he unbeknownst to me added my sn to his buddy list, saw i was online, and proceeded to blow up at me for "lying" - which i technically did, but still. it was the first night we ever talked, too! newer guy doesn't seem like that, but i know what you're feeling. like, just leave it alone (him, not you).

No offence AT ALL darling! Now you know why I hate electronic communication, lol...misunderstanding for lack of emotion and demeanor! I just cut the data plan off my phone because I kept expecting messages from the ex and it was making me crazy when I didn't see them. Plus I now save $35 a month. My first reaction was..okay Newer Guy is a little distrustful or maybe controlling. I have a pretty good gut instinct and I truly didn't like that comment he made. I mean, if I'm saying goodnight to him, then logging on later, it's my prerogative right? Gosh I just started to message him through the dating site yesterday and already he's showing me this little insecurity? It makes me a little uncomfortable, like he's testing me or something... *shudder*...I think I will let this one go. And I would be privileged to be at your wedding with Enrique As long as he introduced me to his dad, I don't go for the over 60's crowd, but if Julio sang to me...I'd be swooning and vulnerable, lol!

Sigh...having a hard time today, but I'll get over it. Stupid guy..*stomping my feet* Maybe newer guy meant nothing by it...but it seemed a little accusatory to me, so I'm just going to let it go. I'm actually turned off by it. No harm done. Oh yeah Enrique's pop makes the older ladies swoon, lol...he definitely has his father's voice too. That's really sweet about bringing the guy up on stage! That guy will never forget it, what a wonderful memory to have! My only memory like that is when I went to a KISS concert, I was second row center, Paul Stanley threw out a bunch of guitar pics and the whole first row dove for them...I was left standing there doing a kind of "gimme" motion with my hands, I was basically begging for another pic to be thrown! So Gene Simmons walks up to the front of the stage and does the "gimme" motion with his hands right back at me, it was pretty damn cool!
Divasu Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Not possible. He's been with Anna Kournikova for over 10 years.

River Rain Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 never stopped me before. Conversion? That's a whole other topic, but does that actually work? I dated a guy who was bi-sexual, but told me he was leaning towards being gay. I was convinced I could keep him on my team, but he ended up leaving me for another guy. I was not able to convert, but I guess I had fun trying

I'm doing better now. Yeah, Newer Guy hasn't written to me today, which is fine by me. I actually purposely got all dressed up today to go grocery shopping because the place I go is under parking lot renovations, and there are many construction guys working. So I strutted a little and got some looks, it made me feel a whole lot better, lol... Oh yes...Gene Simmons and I had a moment. How many people can say that right? Aw, too bad you lost Avril's guitar pic. Oh, I have another funny story. Montreal is a hot bed for celebrities at times, you see them a lot because many U.S. companies find it cheaper to film movies in Canada. So I was walking with a friend and we saw Alec Baldwin. He was checking us out and winked, we both thought it was SO FROMAGIO, so we laughed and I said, "isn't that Martin Sheen?", and then my friend caught on and said "No I think he's Robert Deniro"...we said it loud enough for him to hear, so I said "No, that's ALEX Baldin'", and he just looked at us and gave us that sneer he does so well, it was a great moment, lol...
Pompom Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 I can't stand talking on the phone. There are silences and interferences and other things that make it accoustically irritating, and then there's the holding, sore ear, heavy arm, and the attempt to sound the way I feel because the other person cannot see my body language. The thing is, I always sound the same, which is "meh". So on the phone I can't be myself; my face isn't there to help the other person understand that I'm actually thrilled. Also I never want to intrude and don't want to be bothered either, and a call is a real time thing with a sense of urgency to it. So I hate it. So I prefer texting. Can reply when I want, and smilies help conveying my emotions without having to strain my body by in- and exhaling correctly in order to sound the way I feel. 1

But her whole deal was that she wanted him to believe he turned her gay. It was so manipulative and immature. And of course, she hurt the girl she used as her proverbial rebound. 1

It was fun to heckle him because he was just so cocky. I'm not really all that impressed with celebrity, but it was cool to see him. Back in the day when I used to hang out at bars, I would often see hockey players. There was one bar near the old Montreal Forum and I'd see the older Canadiens players and actually converse with them over drinks. Montreal is really a small city for stuff like that. Everyone is quite laid back. You're right, you should always look your best when you go out. Although I do confess to wearing the sweats and b-ball cap when I'm not all that interested in being approached.

Well, hockey players do have some nice physical assets, ahem, so to speak...I wonder if that's why I like sports so much? Yes, I heard about his angry bird thing...he's something else. And there was something about him being nearly kicked off a plane because of some word game he was playing on his cell? I like him in 30 Rock though, so funny.

HA! physical ass...ets. love it. that could very well be why you enjoy sports. yeah, the game is called 'words with friends' and he wouldn't turn his phone off when the plane was taxi-ing. see, if there's one thing i don't like about famous people, it's that they think they're owed some sort of special treatment no matter where they go...false.
Pompom Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Really?! Come on, really?! So strenuous inflecting one's voice. There is a time for both. But what takes 10 minutes in text, takes 30 seconds to talk about. Especially if it's someone new, something important, or any situation that requires more than a sentence to relay. Text me old fashion. harhar I know it's crazy but that's me. Interaction to me, is seldom spontaneous and usually planned and conscious. Meaning I "feel" the "work" that goes into each expression and intonnation. I'm not fake, I'm just very meticulous and acutely aware of all I do and say. My face is naturally animated but my voice is usually "bored". So conveying stuff without a face, is hard work to me. For some reason, my voice also ups the pitch on the phone. I usually have a deep voice. Also people who call me here usually speak Hebrew. So do I but I'm still having slight trouble understanding and they normally speak freaking fast; that plus transmission trouble such as noise or bad signal, oh God...
River Rain Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 that plus transmission trouble such as noise or bad signal, oh God... ^^ this I totally understand. I was involved with someone who lived in an area with terrible cell signals, and he didn't have a land line. We always got cut off and there were echos, delays and sometimes I could only hear half of what he was saying. It was frustrating enough that I didn't want to talk to him anymore.
