Hank79 Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Hello all I met this lady at work, we are both nurses. I never knew how old she was until our first date. I thought about it and it did not bother me to much so I asked her out a second time but in the back of my mind i was still unsure. I really like her and I think she really likes me two. Just before I dropped her off after the date, she kissed me out of no where passionately for around 15 minutes in the car, it was really beautiful. I have been through a amicable separation in the last 4 months and not sure if I want to get in deep again so soon despite really wanting to with this lovely lady. My concerns are that I'm too young for her, I am mature for my age and so is she. I'm just unsure of myself and why she who even go out with me being a lot younger. I'm afraid of the expectations a older woman might have verses a younger one. Im also worried what society may think of the age gap. Any advice on how to tackle this situation would be much appreciated. I'm really mixed up. Thanks
pteromom Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 As long as you aren't wanting children, it's no biggie. At 39, she would need to start trying right now to even have a chance at it. Unless you look much younger than your age, or she looks much older than hers, I don't think society would even KNOW about a 6 year age gap.

If the two of you work, age means nothing as said above kids is the only thing that would matter if that's an issue or not. I'm 23 and my ex is 35, your situation I wouldn't even consider a age gap.
dasein Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Other than the kids thing others mention, the age is a complete nonissue. Go by her attraction to you, yours to her, that you enjoy each other's company, and treat each other well. Everything else at this point is noise to be discounted.

HAHA! im just teasing. dont worry about the age. your uncertainty will show and you'll scare her away. I myself only date woman older than me. im 41. I have dated woman my age up to 60YO.
