moloko99 Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 I just wanted to get some ideas on how people deal with butt kissers at their job. (If you are a butt kisser, don't continue reading, it might offend you a tad bit). Even if it's hard to accept, there are some people that are just not talented, smart,or responsible enough to advance in life without kissing up. That's just a fact in life. But who is more responsible for this nauseating trend? The flatterer or the boss who loves to be flattered?. I tend to believe that bosses that like to be flattered were butt kissers themselves when they started out. So they approve this behavior because of their lack of any significant talent that would make them "special" (I work in the healthcare field but I'm not a psychologist, so if you are, don't hesitate to correct me lol). I have a lot of experience in different hospitals, but none as disturbing as the one i'm in right now. While most of us bust our humps from 12 hours a day, a few others get away with murder without any consequence. And we don't deal with manufacturing products or devices, we deal with people's lives on a daily basis, and these kiss ups make catastrophic errors that can potentially cost lives, all in the name of laziness or plain old incompetence. But I have never seen such a fierce effort from a boss to protect a butt kisser as I have seen in this particular facility. Somebody who spoke out against these diaper stains just got herself fired. What to do? Any ideas?
