uvafb54 Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Me and my wife have been living apart (seperate homes) for 16 months after she asked for a seperation. We have been working on our relationship and I have been working on myself as a person. I feel I have made some great strides in being a better husband to my wife. She sees the change and is happy for it. She is reluctant for us to live under the same roof again because she is worried that it is not a lasting change. We have a child and she is concerned about voiding our seperation and having to wait another year to obtain a divorce. We live in Virginia if that matters. We just want to see if this can work before we dive in head first. I would only be in the house as a "roommate" while we test the waters. Any info about the legality of this would be helpful. She is tired of being in limbo so she either wants to do this or get a divorce.
riverratt Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 You have to look deeper in the laws..In KY just having sex rolls back the clock. Be hard to work things out without that happening. You don't have to be living together. Does just spending the night roll the clock back. If it doesn't then you both maintain your own places and spend the night or weekends with each other. Need to look into the laws deeper.
