So I keep learning new things about her, which becomes confusing. Again, my ex broke up with me about two months ago for this guy she only knew for a month at that point. I'm calling it a rebound, but who knows?

She went into a relationship with this guy about a month ago.

But what I saw on twitter after she got into this relationship, she said that her career goals come first, so this got me confused.

Why would she go into a relationship knowing that her career comes first?

Her new boyfriend is in the same major as her and I guess have the same personality.

You keep learning new things because everything she told you when dumping you was a lie. Dumpers will rarely tell the full truth of why they're leaving. They just want it to be done with, and be as easy as possible.

I'm sure her career is important, but this new guy is too. When someone wants to be in a relationship, THEY WILL be in one regardless of their life schedule.

You tell the truth, oracle. When she broke up with me, she told me she wanted to be independent and single and take it slow with the new guy. Nope. Two weeks later, she's in a relationship with him.

Start the countdown till that blows up.

She f'd you around, she'll do it to new guy once the novelty has worn off

dumpers will normally omit......and to let someone go or leave them shouldnt be easy anyway because extreme hurt is never easy to deal with on either side....if someone can walk away easily......means they had not much in the way of love anyway it is already gone probably long before the dumpee is better off out of that.....deb

Women will rarely leave a relationship without having something else set up. It could be another guy or you find out that your live in girlfriend already signed a lease to an apartment and she was "planning" on telling you.

When it's for another guy the usual lines they give have a different translation. Here's a couple of examples:

1. I think we need to start seeing other people= I already have, you just never caught me.

2. I think we need to take a break= I have someone else lined up but I'm not entirely sure that he's the one or really serious about a commitment, so I'm gonna string you along as a back up plan.

3. I want to focus on my career= There's this cute guy at work that's been hitting on me and I want to try that on for size. (close to your problem).

4. I need to find myself= I need to find myself in bed with this other guy.

5. I love you like a friend= there's someone else.

6.I need space= So, I can hook up with this other dude without you around.

7. He's not the reason we're breaking up= He's SO the reason why we're breaking up.

8. I'm too busy for a relationship right now= Having two relationships is hard.

I'm sure there's more. Feel free to throw them out there folks!!!
