Trying to hard....

My guy friend who is a girls best friend that i once had a crush on told me.

 

That she found me attractive but though i was trying to hard. I asked her out she flakes, ask her to dance "no".

 

Now i don't even want her, But Jesus wtf how can she want me but still reject me since she finds me attractive and funny?. This doesn't make sense.

I can think of several things off the top of my head. Maybe she is playing hard to get? You could be casual, talk to her a bit, and ask her out again and see if she budges if you're really interested. Or, I don't know if you've heard of guys having back pocket girls, but girls do the same thing. Keep a guy on the back burner to fall back on when they're lonely or want somebody there because they know that the guy is interested in them and will be there. Or, sometimes people may find someone attractive and see some of their good qualities but for whatever reason ultimately not want to date them regardless. Or, sometimes feelings just change. One day you're interested and a little while later you just aren't anymore. If I were you I would move on.

Some women are just unbelievably picky. They wont give you a chance unless you're absolutely perfect in their eyes and tick every box.
