So I had a date with this guy I'm only seeing a couple of weeks. He was in a bad mood for much of the date. I asked him was he okay and he got even more pissed. I told him if he's not interested anymore, it's cool, let's just be friends. He insisted this wasn't the case and perked up.

He apologized the next day and has been texting me ever since. Problem is our early sms'ing was lots of fun - he was really witty and stuff. Now it's boring standard questions and lack of effort. I think being in a strop on an early date is also too early to be behaving this way.

I quite like this guy but it's like he's killing the spark too soon. Should U just end it?

you are telling me you have never had a date when you may have had a bad mood or had PMS??

He got in a mood over some plans during the date which fell through.

I have certainly been on bad moods but do try and make an effort to be cheery if it's an early date.

I've never experienced someone being so negative so soon.

Sounds like a personality malfunction. :(

He's doing the hot/cold thing. Unusually early on... cut him loose. Run as fast and as far as you can from this one.

Usually hot and cold would be ignoring texts or not writing back.

He still texts a lot but like really short non conversational texts.

It's like he wants to hear from me but has nothing to say. I thought we were onto a good thing because we started really passionately and now it's like we burnt out already! What a disappointment!

Unstable or forcing a feeling. I feel at this point we should be working. Just something is amiss. I can't put my finger on it.

Unstable. Moody. Emotionally detached. Unable to express himself. Self absorbed.

Take your pick.
