dlyall Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Ok, so I belong to this foodie meetup group. One day I went to a meeting on a farm picking apples and there was a guy that showed up ( he had joined other meetings with the group I was not around) we spoke for a little bit. Then we parted ways. Then the next I left a message on his page saying it was nice meeting him and gave him my number and said if there is something fun going on hit me up ( just becuase the point of these meetings is to make new friends). Anyway, the very next day he responds then sends me a text with his number. Since I thought he was beyond handsome that 3 days later I texted him asking him out for dinner. He said yes for the following day. So, he meets up with me for dinner. Saying that he was impressed that I asked him out that he just had to come because he has never been asked out by a female before. We hit it off so much so that we ended up going to a bar afterwards. We never planned to have a long night ( 7pm- 1am )out or enjoying each others company either. It was so late that he did not feel comfortable riding for me riding the train by myself that he rode back with me got of the train and walked me to my car gave me a hug and waited until I pulled off. This set him back 40 minutes. He asked me to let him know if I made it home carefully and hour and half later he made it back home safe. This is where it get strange.. lol The next day he calls me drunk talking about how we should meet up and saying strange things and finally he says good-bye. I a planned to call him the next day ( talk about what happend) but he beat me by texting me apology text. He called me right after and he sounded so embarrassed and then finally said "I will just be very blunt with you.. I did have fun with you the other night it is just I am still trying to assess the situation". I was like..umm, ok?! He said then he will talk to me later. That was 2 days ago. What in the world happened?! I meet the strangest men..lol
xdahliax Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 I don't know what that means because I'm not a mind reader. If he's like me, he is probably dealing with personal issues and does not know what he wants or what he is able to give right now. Or he could not be like me at all. So maybe you should just take it slow and give him a little bit of time & space so that he figures it out. I assume that since he's been reliable in getting back to you (sent you his number, went out with you, called you drunk and apologized right away), you can expect him to keep you up to date.

I am giving him space and I was never obsessive texter or caller in the beginning anyway. I agree with your assessment. I am just used to either a guy saying it was nice time but this will not work or meet me next week type of deal. So -- I shall see what transpires. I really did enjoy his company ...
