Ginaa Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Is it really , really possible to everrr, get over someone fully? Isnt some part of your mind always going to think about them, even if you dont want to.
Author Ginaa Posted October 23, 2012 Author Posted October 23, 2012 I guess yes the good relationships and the good parts of a relationship you will always remember!, but if these good memories are making you miss what you had, and it is hurting you, do you then think you can block them out of your life or at least the memories?
yessy21 Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 I think our pain will minimize but we will never be the same. Sometimes it feels like if im still in mourning.
carhill Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 I visited a portion of this topic when commenting in another thread this morning about, if my exW's mother was ill, I would, without hesitation, have assisted her in getting to her mother's side. Now, in my M, my exW complained incessantly about her mother but I loved who I was when I loved her and remember positive moments with her mother and things I did for her and for my exW in regards to her. That's known as 'moving on', IMO. Accept the past without negativity. Would I wish to interact with/be involved with my exW and her family ever again? Absolutely not. That doesn't change my base sentiments about loved ones and family. She's just not loved anymore, by me. Nothing more complex than that.
Eve Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Is it really , really possible to everrr, get over someone fully? Isnt some part of your mind always going to think about them, even if you dont want to. Nope, I never think about past boyfriends. I think it is better to be cold about these things and not entertain ideas that have no basis in reality. Take care, Eve x 3

Its weird to think how we can change as a person, just because of somebody else's influence on you :/ I still wish that we are able to completly forget^^ ahh if only.
Leegh Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Sometimes it has taken me three years or more to get over a relationship, but once I am totally over him, I realize that I never even liked him as a person, but was "in love". It takes time, try to keep busy with other things, and you will eventually get over him.
