I ran a couple "Runner's World" races with a girl I met through OLD this past weekend. I'm taking her out Wednesday night and I'm deciding between five ideas. I'd love some feedback from the women on here. She is a sporty woman, played two sports in college.

1. Appetizers and drinks at one place, main course at a second place and desert at a third place.

2. Hot chocolate, then haunted hayride, then appetizers and drinks.

3. Hot chocolate, haunted glow in the dark mini golf, then appetizers and drinks.

4. Laser tag, then appetizers and drinks.

5. (off beat) Make tin foil boats and go to the park. Race them and put a fun bet on the outcome. Glow in the dark liquid covered skipping stones. (all at a nice local park)

Let her pick. Everyone has different tastes.

I'd like the mini golf one. I'm really horrible at mini golf and everyone ends up looking for my ball but I love it!

Nice ideas, but it sounds like you're trying to shove way too many activities into one evening. I was tired after reading your ideas. My advice is simplify and save something for the next date. Drinks and appetizers are always acceptable. Hot chocolate and the hayride is a cute idea. No need to do all these things on the same night.

The 5th idea is creative, but I would need liquor to make that one fun!

Not a woman but thought I would post anyway. Generally most of the first dates I've been on are extremely low key, something as simple as a coffee or hot chocolate talking for 30 minutes - an hour. Then arranging a second date later if it goes well.

The reason for low key on the first date as mean as it sounds. It much easier for either party to walk away if you don't click and aren't forced into a long, extended and often awkward date.

Good ideas for dates though I would just break them up into separate dates and keep the first date very simple.

I say #3.

#2 will be great for a second date.

I am a little confused with the op - have you met her before? If not I will say a coffee date should be first.

She wants to spend a lot of time (her words) together Wednesday. We both have off Thursday. She is leaving for two weeks on Saturday. I went out with her and some friends both Friday and Saturday night last weekend, so we are 'relatively' comfortable together already.

Shouldn't I choose though? I know she likes take charge guys, as she said it was the one thing she typically has/looks for in guys she has dated.

That's what I was thinking! apps and drinks, golf, desert, desert.

 You're either repeating yourself or you're a sneaky fox.

I vote for #3 also, except I'd leave out the appetizers and drinks afterwards, since that doesn't really go with the theme of the night. Hot chocolate and dessert before the haunted mini golf, and then go for a ride, play some cool music, park somewhere and talk. Get to know each other, and then show a little affection. That would be a nice date IMO.

She enjoys herself some cocktails, but you still may be right. We actually even dove into politics this weekend.

Well #3 will have to wait, there is only the haunted glow in the dark mini golf on Fri/Sat/Sun.

Took her on the drink and app then main course at another place date and we had fun. We ended up going to her favorite dive bar afterwards and I spent the night, once again, at her place. Tomorrow I am taking her to the haunted mini golf and then an indoor go cart racing place, she is real competitive so we have decided to place a fun bet on the outcome. I got an amazing back rub for beating her at her bar in stick man hockey.

I have fun with her, she is attractive and we share quite a few common interests....yet I'm not "falling" for her, at least not yet. On the flipside however, she has been very boisterous in her attraction towards me. Strange how things sometimes work.
