joel Posted July 31, 2004 Posted July 31, 2004 i'm 23 yr old guy lack a car is it still ok to ask a gal out and say " i'll meet u on broadway and granville and 5 pm" or just ask her to meet u at some location instead of the old fashio picking her up in ur car. i take the bus, and i hope when i date this gal i like she doesn't expect me to pay for her bus fair to get there. will a gurl be open to dating or hanging with a guy if she has to take the bus to see me or is this considered too low class of me. oh ya if u ask to borrow my friends car -i have no freinds
supermom Posted July 31, 2004 Posted July 31, 2004 i hope when i date this gal i like she doesn't expect me to pay for her bus fair to get there. I suggest you don't ask her out unless you're willing to pay for her fair, food, entertainment. I hope when you do get a car you don't ask her for gas money!
moimeme Posted July 31, 2004 Posted July 31, 2004 Tell her you don't have access to a car but that you'd still like to see her and is it OK if you get places separately and meet. Allow her to decide whether she wants to proceed on those grounds or not. But if you're going to be out quite late, it would be nice of you to have enough cash on hand to pay her cab fare home safely.
Author joel Posted July 31, 2004 Author Posted July 31, 2004 i'm willing to pay for her food and stuff yea if i ask , but the thing is if ya have no car is it ok to ask a gal out and say lets meet up i take the bus and not sure if she buses or drives, and meet up somewhere --like downtown, gastown... some location, some date , and some time and take it from there. i thought bus fair was a gimme she doesn;t expect me to pay for that too hey. i was just thinking of cas dating -having fun and freind nothing serious. don;t think i will ever get a car so $$ and i comfortable taking the bus or biking.
honey2005 Posted August 1, 2004 Posted August 1, 2004 I think it's fine to ask a girl to meet you somewhere. I don't think I'd expect someone to offer to pay me back for the busfare, but if you probably should pay for her food and entertainment.
Kelebek Posted August 1, 2004 Posted August 1, 2004 My boyfriend doesn't always have access to his mums car, but I don't mind at all. Obviously it's nice sometimes, to have a nice quiet (and cheap!) night out and drive home all nice and warm, not on a crappy bus...but I don't mind the crappy buses sometimes, even though we always seem to miss them, lol. Sometimes I prefer it actually, cos it means we can go out for a drink or two, and make the night last longer. The bottom line is, I want to see him (most of the time anyway!! ) and I don't mind if I have to get a bus to do so. I get buses all the time to uni and stuff anyway, it doesn't bother me. I think it's kinda cute when he pays for my bus fare though (it usually ends up being me paying for him, as he never has change....but STILL, lol!)
