sendme Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 If I hear another love song I'm going to vomit.... what are your best break up songs... not the ooshy gooshy make you cry ones... but the peppy, angry... I'm better off without you than I ever was with you ones? lately I've been rocking: Pink - Just like a Pill Kelly Clarkson - Stronger Pink - Blow me one last kiss Taylor Swift - we are never ever ever getting back together (so lame, but peppy and super fun to yell at the top of my lungs while running!)
21flames Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Have a listen to this one, it will make you feel better!

21flames Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 This is a great tune, listen to the lyrics I think they will help you. I know it's an British band but have a listen x
dreamstate83 Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 I prefer to listen to something completely out of my normal genre for awhile. It's better than hearing songs about lost love =]
thembones Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Oh dear, avoid the Doors and Led Zeppelin. Right after the break-up, I was all about these two bands. So many songs about love and losing, Oh my god.. Touch Me (Doors) and D'Yer Mak'er (Zep). Stay FAR away from these two unless you want to feel like sh*t. I guess I will go a little dark, but this song has helped me, some: Chevelle - Closure And if you just want to bang some stuff around: Deftones - My Own Summer Probably not exactly what you are looking for, but it's my two cents.
21flames Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Love this song It's a bit mushy, listened to it a lot the first few weeks we split. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2AbxQ2Q4HeU John Denver
Negative Nancy Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 HU - Black Dahlia I wish I could have quit you, I wish I never missed you And told you that I loved you every time I f***** you The future that we both drew and all the sh.it we've been through Obsessed with the thought of you, the pain just grew and grew How could you do this to me, look at what I made for you It never was enough and the world is what I gave to you I used to be love struck, now I'm just ****ed up Seems like all we had is over now, you left to rest And my fears are over now, I can leave with my head down
KatZee Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 JT- What Goes Around Comes Around Taylor- We are Never Getting Back Together Katy Perry- Wide Awake Godsmack- I F.ucking Hate You

ellowmay Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 Ok I'm sorry you guys but I listened to most of these and wasn't really impressed at all. Needless to say, some of my own picks aren't exactly awesome, but comforting in a way if you like them lol Here's my pitch: Tool - The Patient Tool - Parabol+Parabola Hopsin - Baby's Daddy (funny) How to be alone (video, but very empowering) I know avril lavigne is cheesy and dumb, but some of her songs are pretty legit: Forgotten - Avril Lavigne How does it feel - Avril Lavigne Together - Avril Lavigne Jar of Hearts - Christina Perri (the video is really cool) Necromancer - Gnarls Barkley Who's gonna save my soul - Gnarls barkley (video below, very good but sad) Solitude - Black Sabbath (sad but it's a good song nonetheless) Last Train Home - Lostprophets It's not the end of the world - Lostprophets Psycho- System of a Down Roulette - System of a Down Pictures - System of a Down Streamline - System of a Down There's probably more but I will have to think a bit.
ellowmay Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 (edited) Oh yeah and Can't Catch Tomorrow by Lostprophets (this one is really really awesome) And the system song titled Pictures is wrong, I meant Atwa actually. I was thinking of the lyrics "Hey you, see me, pictures crazy All the world I've seen before me passing by I've got nothing, to gain, to lose All the world I've seen before me passing by You don't care about how I feel I don't feel there anymore You don't care about how I feel I don't feel there anymore You don't care about how I feel I don't feel there anymore You don't care about how I feel I don't feel there anymore"4 Also... Christina Aguilera's Fighter. and Avril Lavigne's Don't Tell Me (good for empowerment) Edited December 1, 2012 by ellowmay
thembones Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 One that I have found lately is really making me feel better and believe it sometimes. Three Days Grace - Gone Forever It's not super heavy or emo, but just a good song. Some people say it is about drug use, but it can also be interpreted as a great song for the one being dumped. Give it a shot.
suladas Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 It's a girlie song, but sara evans- a little bit stronger. Good song though.
