I was wondering, if anyone here as noticed this, you're sick of being on POF, so you decide on a change...you go on over to OKC....like depending on what kind of mileage range search you do on dating sites.

THen you go to that site, and do you're search results and see, "Oh crap, there are the same people HERE I've ignored/sent emails to on here, as on the other sites!!

Ever see the SAME people on match.com, ok cupid and POF?

Goes to show you, there is a limited amount of people to choose from in your dating pool,e h? Think this might get people to stop being overly picky?

Also, let's say you're an attractive woman that JUST moved into the area, from NYC, and you're in a "Green Acres" environment now...because you prefer to be near family (the usual reason I'm seeing on dating sites as to WHY people move to areas that are remote).

And let's say you, as an attractive woman, lives probably at least an hours drive from any major city.

Situation is though

1. Most of the men you've been bumping into in the small fishbowl community is married with children.

2. The retirees/widowers/ rednecks are the only available people left in town

Two major problems for a single lady, already....so you resort to online dating.

Now online dating can single out those who are probably suffering the same strife as this single lady does, and actually can join the eligible bachelor's/bachelorettes that are the left overs dotted across the rural area. But most of them are rather average looking physically.

Though, you're still stuck in those NYC ways, and looking for "Mr Big", it's not gonna happen in "Green Acres". That being said, some options

1. You might have to LEARN to like those men. Sometimes geographic limitations might evolve a woman to selecting men that they've probably nto select otherwise? Yes?

2. Leave town and go back to NYC (or a major city)

3. Start online, long distance dating, be willing to foot the bill for gas, and take 1 to 3 hour drives to meet someone online as opposed to the guy living 5 mins from your house.

Which would you prefer?

Many women now would either do LDR, move to a new town, or simply proclaim they'll die alone before "settling".

The ONLY rebuttal for that is if she complains there's no "good men" in her town, you point out how full of it she is. If she comes clean and says there's no tall, handsome, hunky, wealthy alpha males who want to commit to her, then tell her that the cards have been dealt and she has to deal with what's available...or choose to be single, or move.

Don't worry, she'll cave and eventually complain to a sister or something.

Yes (except I haven't tried Match), but then again I suppose some poor woman will be seeing my face on multiple sites, and yours. Sometimes it's fun to compare the profiles/photos to see what's different. :)

Actually, I got the same write-up on all profiles. LOL.

Yes, and it's even worse when they turn up at multiple speed dating parties. Don't laugh; I actually met this one woman at 3 speed dating parties (no, we didn't pick each other), she said she'd been to another nearby large city and across the country going to these things, and I later saw her profile and pics on 2 dating sites.

Best guess is either she had no idea what she wanted, or that she'd be better off going lesbian.
