For those of you that aren't familiar with my story: I met a my bf through a language exchange site. We ere both studying the same language. He's spanish and lives in Ireland. I'm american. Anyway we started with the emails, then voice chats /no video on skype, video chats and so on... it continued and it got to the point where we talked for 8 hour at least 1 day a week and 4hrs mos of the other days. I started having feelings, which I confessed. He didn't say much except that he had no interest in an LDR. I said ok and just treated it as a friendly situation. Our chats did not decrease and I proposed that we cut it back to a reasonal interval and that's when he admit that he didn't want to and that he has feelings too, but was fighting it because of the complications that come with an ldr. Well since, he gave in to it and 5 months later we are still going strong, somehow I have never left the states and I'm flying to Ireland on Sunday to spend 2 weeks with him!! I'm not nervous yet but I'm sure its coming. I'm curious to see how all this will play out. Let the adventur begin<3 6

Author meeji Posted October 21, 2012 Author Posted October 21, 2012 My flight is in 15 hours!!! I'm so excited. Does anyone have tips for me regarding 12+ flights? I am charging EVERYTHING so that there is no way I'd cycle through all of my portables before I reach my destination. I'm going to stay up all night tonight and sleep once I get on my 2nd connecting flight in hopes that this way, I can adjust to the time difference. I still can't believe this is happening, for real. 2

Its a cute idea. I got to my local airport and found out that my flight has been canceled!!! They put me on another one that departs tonight....so now I'm stuck at the airport for about 8 hours and then ill be up in the air for about another 10 hours......... What did I get myself into ? HAHA!

I didn´t have anyway to contact him once I crossed the ocean but somehow, he figured out what was going on and he ended up waiting for me for 3 hours at the airport...with a sign with some hearts on it. We hugged and then went back to his place. We went on our ¨first date,talked a bit, snuggled and went to bed. This morning we got up and went around the city with some friends. My family was freaking out so hard when i got on that plane. I told them beforehand but they didn´t believe me I guess. So far, everything is going great.. AND..... he surprised me a new laptop as an anniversary gift!!! I´m glad he isnt a serial killer 2

I think he knew that I was planning on ditching my desktop soon and he wanted to surprise me. I am okay with it now but I told him that if at any point he wanted me to leave it there when I departed, not to hesitate to say so. He insisted, so it ended up coming with me. I don't feel bound to him because of it. The funny thing is....... that we booked my flight to him and his flight to my country (and this laptop was purchased) after only starting 5 months prior. We felt pretty comfortable I guess that things would be okay when we met. Maybe that was stupid but luckily for us, it was true. I think both of us were completely honest about who we are and even our tendencies \and habits, which left little room for surprises when we actually met in real life. The traveling was awful and it was a pretty expensive trip but I wouldn't change anything. It was so worth it. 74 days until he come here! the countdown begins! 1
