TheUnthoughtKnown Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 I'm having a bit of a crisis today. I'm stuck in a dead end job I hate while myself and my gf have just given up on trying to get our own place. Despite the fact I work full time in this job I hate, I struggle to pay rent, buy food and have an active social life. The fear is that I'll soon have to move home... I'm 24 and I moved out years ago when I began studying. I got paid more as a student than I do now in minimum wage, full time employment. Now Unis finished, I'm stuck in this horrible job, working to pay bills and, what's worse, I can't seem to find a job doing what I studied. Everything's just a mess. Has anyone else dealt with this before? Can anyone suggest any ideas for how to change this situation?
River Rain Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 I think the only solution is that you need to make more money or just accept that you have to move back home for a while. Personally I was in that situation when I was about your age, there were no jobs for someone who had no experience. So I moved to the city, took a job bartending and made lots of money that way while I kept looking for something I liked. I hope you find a way to work things out.
