veggirl Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 This is your belief and your attraction element. But there are women who actually prefer men with a little paunch, same as some men prefer women with a little pooch. Sure....I really think you'd be hard pressed to find a woman or man who is like "yes I prefer a pot belly! No no his/her stomach is TOO FLAT" I guess it's possible though. Depending on your definition, I have a bit of a gut and I am definately in shape. I work in construction and am outside all the time, but I enjoy my food. Even in high school when I went to the gym I didn't loose it because I still ate and drank. It really depends on the definition. Working on loosing the rest of it. I can say i'm shallow when it comes to a womens weight though. I wouldn't date a women who was the same amount overweight as me. They can have a tiny tiny bit but that's it. Okay so you have a pot belly because you eat/drink too much. Not sure how I am wrong about anything. That isn't healthy, healthy isn't just working out it is also eating well which appears to be your downfall, so ....? good luck on your endeavors though, it'll make you more attractive to women for sure to lose it.

Stop acting like your the spokesperson for all or most women..Tons of women i know actually prefer a guy with a little meat there then a six pack..they want to feel like the women in the relationship and dont want a guy who can fit in their jeans

I believe there are some, since everyone has their own tastes...but tons? BTW, a guy who is fit most likely can't fit in a fit woman's jeans.

You couldn't be more wrong. 1

Being in shape is a woman thing now? I'm guessing you are saying she wants to feel smaller than her man. I know many women feel that way. So yeah if they have a pudgey pot belly they would want a man who does as well, that makes sense so I will agree with you there.
NYC-BigKat Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 I'd rather a guy have some slight pudge on the belly than a six-pack (yuck). But full-on pot belly? Not something I'd be likely to go for, since it probably indicates the guy doesn't spend much time outdoors being active. Skinny jeans on guys... Gross. Uhh..why do girls like big bellies on guys? I have a pretty big belly but am kinda husky though .

If you blast that area with exercise you can create a bulge just like with any other muscle. The six pack/8 pack is simply your normal belly revealed due to minimal body fat. I'm assuming you mean that? Just trying to clarify. Just hop on a treadmill kiddo If it were that simple I'd have a 8 pack and porterhouse muscles on my ass. I'd have had it my whole adult life that I've struggled with weight and day to day energy and my appearance since I was in my 20s, when, admittedly, it didn't matter . You have to know how to manage calories you intake, what your minimum and BMR is, and you have to make time for cardio when you eat too much. I finally figured it out a month ago, and I've lost nine pounds. /preachin'it
SteveC80 Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Youre saying women like fatter men than themselves? You couldn't be more wrong. Fatter then them? the way to phrase it would be less skinny then them maybe.Im talking maybe a guy with a slight stomach here not a complete mess like youre thinking A Lot of ladies dont like rail thin guys ive heard them say it turns them off when a guys too skinny Ive also had ladies before tell me that when i had a six pack.Obviously tons also liked it but tons dont My point is women claming their personal preference act like every other women feels just like them
suladas Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 I think this comment will spark some flame..... even though it's normally accepted..... Just being honest. For a ONS i'd accept it, but not a relationship. But then again, i'm back in the gym and working hard to loose it.

Doctor wise i'm 100% healthy actually. It is purely based on diet, I love pop, fast food, etc. Even when I would run 4-6 miles a day back in high school I didn't change much weight wise. Again it depends what you consider overweight though. Everyones definition is different.
Author O'farrell Posted October 17, 2012 Author Posted October 17, 2012 Good for cuddling You always give the correct answer.

Well, pop and fast food are similar to alcohol, they are going to settle where you don't want them to and they are going to bloat you. I agree we all have different definitions. I just disagree that many women PREFER a pot belly over a flat stomach. Just like I'd disagree that many men prefer it! You yourself don't want that in a woman.
Andy_K Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 In my experience they much prefer abs. Let's put it this way, when was the last time you overheard a group of girls drooling about how hot a guy's pot belly was? 3
oaks Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Will your next question surround preferences about a pimple on the left butt cheek? No, his next one will be about height, or maybe ethnicity.
heather_1 Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Hmmm everyone is different I suppose. I know guys who like larger girls. But I reckon there are far more women out there that dont like them compared to those who do. 1
january2011 Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Really, pot bellies january? Yes, really. The SO has one at the moment. I love it because I love him. He has to lose it though, for health reasons. And I support him on that because I don't want him popping his clogs anytime soon. This is my first time dating a guy with a bit of a belly and not at the peak of his fitness. It's made me realise that while package is important for attraction, it really is not the be all and end all. You love that person, you love the form that God/the universe/their parents gave them. Whatever their ethnicity, cultural heritage, religion, nationality, hair colour, skin colour, size, fitness levels, pot-belliedness, etc. Within my dating range, I don't come across many guys who look like "hot young things." I don't want a "hot young thing." I'm dating for the long-term, for marriage and kids, so a lot of the guys are mature dad-types who don't have a lot of time to spend in the gym working on their bodies. 1
irin Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 yes, im trying really hard to get one myself. i wonder what guys think of them?
xxoo Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Youre saying women like fatter men than themselves? You couldn't be more wrong. That has to depend on how thin the woman is. I've never been attracted to a man as thin as me. A small pot belly is cute, and even sexy on the right guy.

I agree with your first paragraph, but disagree withthe last sentence in your second paragraph. My two best workout buddies and mtn biking buddies have two daughters each and hold ~45hr a week professions. Their wives run or go to the gym a cpl times a week as well.
Els Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 I hope they don't! I just spent eight months losing mine! I can't say that I 'like' a pot belly, but if an otherwise great guy happens to have one, s'all good.

I'm not in the US and presumably don't run in the same social circles as you, perhaps that has something to do with it, mtnbiker?
