Cman219 Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 Hey everyone, i come to you all for your opinion on something i've recently experienced/learned. What is your take on dating etiquette? Recently i was involved in a love triangle. It was me, another guy, and a girl. Long story short, she knew i liked her and he did too. He doesn't think of her that way and she doesn't think of him that way either. We went on a week long trip together and they were flirting/touching each other all week long, pissed me off, they knew. She ended up rejecting me, because she decided there was no chemistry. So the guy confronts me yesterday and says that he did nothing wrong, because he was just being himself and that it was her choice to stick around him. I told him to atleast have some decency and not do it right in front of me, but he says he shouldn't have to be a lesser version of him because he knows i like her. So now i'm sitting here wondering if i should even trust this guy anymore. Basically i feel like he has no values at all, and he would probably wreck a family and just say that he was being himself. And that it was the woman's choice, not his so he's not to blame. What do you all think?
road Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 You need a check up from the neck up. You take a woman on a vacation and you manage to bring along the competition. Do you want to buy a bridge in Brooklyn? Not only are you desparate for a GF you must be desparate for friends to call that back stabber that YOU let come on your vacation a friend. 1
ThatJustHappened Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 Neither of them did anything wrong. You can't stake a claim on another human being. You having a crush on her does not obligate her to you in any way. Get over it.
sooniechan Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 So, from what I read, you aren't actually with this girl. If that's the case she doesn't really owe you anything. The guy didn't do anything wrong either.
skywriter Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 I agree with road. If she had any inclination of you having feelings and he, being your friend, knew , then, that was, cold hearted. Move on and leave them to their devices. You'll be better off.
Author Cman219 Posted October 18, 2012 Author Posted October 18, 2012 Interesting takes on this. Well just a little history, the girl actually liked me 2 years ago. And just recently she agreed to give me a second chance on that. But somewhere during the vacation she decided there was no chemistry this time around. I wouldn't say they are completely terrible people. I've known them both for 2 years now and they are definitely good people. We've all been through a lot together. This is honestly the first time they've done anything wrong to me, atleast i feel they did. The vacation was planned before i told her i starting developing feelings for her again after 2 years have passed.
ThatJustHappened Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 She gave you a chance, she didn't feel a spark, and she dumped you. It sucks, but she didn't do anything wrong. Neither did the guy. Get out of the bitter barn and play in the hay..go find another girl.
