My sophmore year of highschool I had a huge crush on a guy that was a junior in my spanish class. We talked in class but we were both shy so it never went any further. The next year we didn't have a class together so we just spoke in passing (I still liked him A LOT). After he graduated I didn't think I'd see him again, but I started going to church with my friend and that is where he went. We were both still shy, but everytime I had an empty seat beside me at church that's where he would sit. However, nothing went any further. When it came time for senior prom my friend asked him if he could go to prom with me but he said he couldn't because he had to work. Right after I graduated he started messaging me on facebook and then one night while we were talking he gave me his number and asked me to text him. So I waited a few days and I did. It started being everyday that we either messaged on FB or texted each other. Then we just stopped talking. A few months later he messaged me and asked how I was but when I replyed it showed that he hadn't read the message and we haven't talked since then. He has been single all this time and so have I. It has been over a year. I don't really know what happened. He has always been in the back of my mind, but recently it has been more so. I ran into him the other day at a store and it really made me realize how much I still like him. I'm still really shy and I just don't know how to make things progress? He works at a store that recently opened, I was thinking of going in there to see if I see him but I don't know if that is the right approach. ahhh I'm so confused!! pleas help!!

The trick is to overcome your shyness and ask if he'd like to have lunch with you sometime or do something so you can get to know each other better - easier said than done, but you never know until you try. Good luck!
